Processes

eManager supports the following processes for verifying the quantity of goods in AutoStore:

• Inventory - Planned process of verifying that product quantities and locations in AutoStore match those in eManager

• Inspection - Ad-hoc process of verifying that product quantities and locations in AutoStore match those in eManager

Note: Both processes allow you to change the product quantity in eManager, provide a reason based on a configurable list, and export the reason back to the WMS/ERP system. It is possible to start and stop these processes at any time.

Message types

Balance messages are used to ensure that the inventory recorded in eManager matches the inventory recorded in the system eManager is integrated with.

• Inventory Count (IC) - Message sent to eManager to initiate counting of a specific set of products. If any discrepancies are detected during the counting, Balance Correction messages will be sent.

• Balance Correction (BC) - Message sent from eManager to inform the WMS/ERP system that there is an unexpected change in eManager's own inventory.

• Balance List (BL) - Message sent from eManager containing the quantity of all stored products. This enables the WMS/ERP system to verify that the quantities it has recorded matches those in eManager.

• External Balance Correction (EBC) - Message sent from eManager to inform the WMS/ERP system that there is an unexpected mismatch between the inventory in eManager and the external system.
